The Nation's leading legislative and regulatory tracking service, State Net is adding additional members to its Washington DC sales office. A first year Client Development Manager earns over $80,000. There are no caps on earnings and many of our Client Development Managers are here over 5 years. Some have returned from other sales jobs. Here are our qualifications and skill set requirements:

  • Experienced professional sales background, preferably with exposure to one or more nationally recognized professional sales training programs (Learning International, Xerox PSS, Fortune 500 company sales training). You need a record of successful sales performance to be considered for hire.
  • Exceptional oral communication skills and writing proficiency in b2b communications.
  • State Net's team approach to selling requires you to possess strong networking and interpersonal skills with a work ethic based on respect, trust and self-confidence.
  • We expect you to take a situation, weigh the known facts, and probe for missing elements to assure that the right solutions are sold.
  • Applicants should have a passion for current events and have an awareness of emerging social and business trends through sources such as The Wall Street Journal, NY Times, NPR, etc.
What is our offer to sales professionals?

A base salary and quarterly bonuses.

State Net provides paid vacation/personal leave (we get our birthday as a paid holiday!) that grows in years to over five paid weeks.

We pay for your health insurance and offer plans for covering dependents. We provide flex credits for purchasing benefits for you to manage (details provided at job offer).

We provide 401(k), Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, profit sharing bonus and ESOP.

A monthly commuter allowance is given to employees.
